Meet Our Team
Steve Winter at Shop Equipment Specialties (SES) spent most of his life in and around the automotive industry. Not only was he a mechanic for several independent shops and a line tech at a Chrysler dealership, but he was also the owner and operator of a small garage in Fruitland Idaho for several years.
Transitioning from automotive into construction Steve spent the next several years in renovation work and steel building construction. Steve’s diverse background brings him the skill and ability to understand the needs and performance opportunities of garages across the Southern Idaho area.
Established in 2011, Shop Equipment Specialties is also a Veteran owned and operated company. Steve has served in the military for over 37 years between active duty Army, National Guard and Army reserve which brings a style of leadership, enabling us at S.E.S. to understand the challenges of larger shop spaces and how to capitalize on staff productivity.
Kenny has been working with SES for almost seven years. He has proven to be an integral part of our growth and success. He has become very accomplished with everything from automotive lift install and service, to all the under-car equipment we sell and service.
Kenny not only has become the premier lift installer in the southern Idaho area, but has also been a huge asset to our customer base in providing quality service to tire equipment, aligners, and is the most capable waist oil furnace tech across most of three states.
With his years of experience he has helped train not only the shop owners and auto techs, but the new field techs for SES on most of the equipment we represent.
Mark has been part of the SES team for the past couple of years. After becoming certified through Pro-Cut for service, he spent the next few months traveling the Southern Idaho/ Eastern Oregon area catching the territory up on the neglected Pro-cut on-car brake lathes in the area. He soon after branched out and became a very capable AC service tech, where through diligent study, and tedious work, was able to take many of the Robin-Air machines, and several other brands back to heathy working order. Mark has also become proficient with air compressor and air systems service and repair.
Mark has a tenacious, meticulous work ethic, and is a quality service tech that believes in the thought that “Good Enough is never Good Enough”. Only absolutely as perfect as possible will do.
Mark spent many years
working with Compact Power as a field service tech where he worked on the type
of machinery that required him to be very detail oriented, which makes him a
great fit for SES due to the details of some of the products we service.
